@coolguy1111·Mar 19I've taught music since I was 27 years old and fresh out of university. I did a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Sociology, by the way.
And oh, I'm 40 years old now.
It has always been a dream to have an online community for guitarists. I have always wanted to have some serious music theory conversations.
I've got one I call "the myth of chord synonyms." I think if you say you played C6 or Am7 in the same progression, you’re only trying to make the word "buy" sound like "purchase."

@coolguy1111·Mar 19I talk about a few misconceptions in Guitar Growth Community [GGC]:
Misconception #1:
An acoustic guitar is a ‘complete’ instrument in its own right.
It's sadly thought to be an instrument to learn how to play on, only to transition to the electric guitar. Learning to play with an acoustic guitar or acoustic-electric/electro-acoustic guitar has its merits.
But, these types of guitar are not inferior to the electric guitar. There are music genres that feature these instrument predominantly.
