JPMorgan, Goldman, Wells Fargo and Citi all report Q3 before the open on Tue 10-13, with UnitedHealth and Johnson & Johnson on the same morning.

The bank numbers usually set the tone for the whole season. Watch whether they beat, and how the stocks react to it. Those can be two very different things.
