I charge $49/month to do busy people's laundry — here's the whole model
Laundry takes the average person 1-2 hours a week. That's 5-8 days a year spent on something they hate.
I built FreshFold to solve exactly that for busy professionals. Here's how the model works:
The offer: $49/month, 2 pickups per month
Pick up at your door
Wash, dry, and fold everything
Return within 24 hours
Why subscriptions beat one-off orders
One-off orders create chaotic scheduling and unpredictable income. Monthly subs let me plan routes, batch loads efficiently, and give customers a consistent experience. People also forget to cancel — in the best way. They just stop thinking about laundry.
The unit economics
At $49/month, 15 subscribers = $735/mo. At 30 subscribers, I can hire help and step back from the actual washing. That's the target — repeatable, scalable, and built on a simple subscription.
Where customers come from
Nextdoor, local Facebook groups, word of mouth. The pitch writes itself: "Your time is worth more than $49."
