Why I stopped trusting political news and started writing my own

I got tired of opening five different apps and getting five different versions of the same story — each one dressed up to make me angry at a different group of people. So I started writing a daily brief that just tells you what happened, why it happened, and what it actually means for you. No pundits yelling, no "both sides" theater, no headline written to farm outrage clicks.

Here's the format I landed on after testing it with friends for months:

  • What happened — the actual event, stripped of spin

  • Why it matters — the second-order effect most coverage skips

  • What's next — the vote, deadline, or decision to watch

If you're 18-30 and tired of choosing between "explain it like I'm 5" TikTok takes and 3,000-word think pieces, this is built for you. Frontline Politics is free to join — I'd rather build trust with a real audience first than paywall day one.

Happy to answer questions on how I fact-check or pick stories if anyone's curious.
