Spent the last few years curating fixtures for full bath remodels, and the same 3 mistakes show up on almost every project before someone catches them:

1. Mixed metal finishes without a plan. Brushed gold faucet + chrome shower system + black towel bar reads as "random Amazon cart," not designed. Pick ONE dominant finish and let a second appear only in a small accent (mirror frame, hardware).

2. Vanity size chasing the wall instead of the room. Builders default to the widest vanity that fits the wall. But a 60" vanity in a room with 8ft of walkable floor makes the whole room feel smaller, not more luxurious. Scale to the room, not the wall.

3. Tile grout lines that fight the fixture lines. Large format tile with thick grout lines running perpendicular to your vanity or tub creates visual noise you don't notice until it's installed and it's too late. Always dry-lay a section against the fixture plan first.
