The #1 reason funded traders lose their account (it's not strategy)

Most traders who fail prop firm evaluations don't fail because of a bad strategy — they fail because of risk management gaps that have nothing to do with entries or exits.

The three silent killers:

  1. Daily loss limit breaches — Revenge trading after a red morning blows the daily limit before lunch. One bad hour undoes a week of good trades.

  2. Consistency rule violations — Many prop firms require no single day to be more than 30-40% of total profit. Traders hit their target in one lucky session and get disqualified for "inconsistency" even though they were net profitable.

  3. Over-leveraging near the finish line — Traders get close to passing, get greedy, size up, and blow the account with days left in the evaluation.

None of these are solved by finding a better indicator. They're solved by having a system with hard rules and someone checking your risk before you place the trade.

That's exactly what we built Funded Forge around — daily trade alerts calibrated to prop firm rules, plus a community of funded traders who catch these mistakes before they cost you the account.

If you're mid-evaluation right now, drop your prop firm and days remaining below — happy to give feedback.
