The 3 ingredients that actually cleared my skin (backed by dermatologists)
Most skincare advice is noise. After years of trial and error and hundreds of dollars wasted on "miracle" products, I narrowed it down to 3 ingredients that dermatologists actually agree on:
1. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
Reduces inflammation, controls oil, and fades dark spots. Start with 5% concentration — anything higher can irritate sensitive skin. Use it morning and night.
2. Salicylic Acid (BHA)
The only exfoliant that works inside your pores. 2% is the sweet spot. Use it 2-3x per week, not daily. Your skin needs time to recover.
3. Hyaluronic Acid
Not an acid in the harsh sense — it pulls moisture into your skin. Apply on damp skin, then seal with a moisturizer. Game changer for dehydrated skin that still breaks out.
The order matters too. Thinnest to thickest consistency, always. And sunscreen is non-negotiable — even indoors.
I built GlowLab to teach people exactly how to build routines around ingredients like these, not just buy whatever TikTok is selling this week. Science over hype.
