3 mistakes I see every beginner trader make (and how to fix them)
Been trading for years and coaching dozens of beginners. Same 3 mistakes come up every single time:
1. Trading without a plan
You open a chart, see a candle move, and click buy. No stop loss, no target, no reason. That's not trading — that's gambling. Before you enter ANY trade, you need: entry reason, stop loss level, and profit target. Write it down before you click.
2. Risking too much per trade
New traders blow accounts because they risk 10-20% on one trade. One bad setup and you're done. Keep it to 1-2% of your account per trade. Boring? Sure. But you'll still be trading next month.
3. Chasing entries after the move already happened
That big green candle you just saw? You're late. The setup was 30 minutes ago. Learn to identify setups BEFORE they play out, not after. This comes from screen time and studying price action patterns.
If you're making these mistakes, you're not alone — literally every beginner does. The ones who make it are the ones who fix them early.
I do 1-on-1 coaching calls specifically for beginner traders who want to get this stuff right from the start. If that's you, check out what I offer.
