- Honest & Accurate – Reviews should reflect genuine opinions, findings, and experiences. False, misleading, or unsubstantiated information is not allowed.
- Full Disclosure – If you have any connection to the creator that could influence your review—such as employment, free products, or affiliate relationships—you must clearly disclose it.

4. Disputes
Whop is committed to consumer protection while fostering a platform where high-quality businesses can thrive.
Dispute rate expectations
To maintain a trustworthy marketplace, businesses must keep their bank dispute rates within acceptable limits. All creators are encouraged to keep their dispute rate at less than 2%.
If a Whop exceeds these thresholds:
- The account will be placed on up to 100% reserve, preventing withdrawals.
- Whop will conduct a review of the account, which may lead to further actions, including suspension of pay-ins (preventing new sales).
Whop uses a weighted score called Dispute Risk Score to determine if reserves or suspension is needed for a Whop.
We calculate two Dispute Risk Scores to assess your account:
- Rate-Based
- GMV (Sales volume) Based
These scores are calculated based on your Dispute rate, your auto-refund rate, and the rate at which customers submit cases in Resolution Center.
Your Score will range from 0-5+
Less than 2 is acceptable, and no reserves or restrictions will be placed on your account.
- A score of 2-3 will result in 25% of your balance being held on reserve.
- A score of 3-4 will result in 50% of your balance being held on reserve.
- A score of 4-5 will result in 75% of your balance being held on reserve.
- A score of 5+ will result in your account being suspended.
You can see your Dispute Risk Score in your Creator Dashboard and we will email you if your Dispute Risk Score exceeds 2.
The best way to keep your Dispute Risk Score below 2 is to keep your Dispute Rate below 2%, as this is the heaviest weighted factor in the score.
Customer bank dispute policy
To resolve payment issues, customers must use the on-platform Resolution Center before filing a bank dispute.
- If a dispute is filed without first attempting resolution through Whop, a warning email will be issued.
- A second violation will result in account suspension.
- If the dispute is later resolved in the customer’s favor, Whop will reverse any enforcement action.
This policy is designed not as a penalty but as a safeguard to protect businesses from unnecessary financial risk. Bank disputes can severely impact creators, and our goal is to maintain a fair and sustainable marketplace for all users.
5. Whop balance
Your account balance may go negative due to bank disputes or refunds processed through the Resolution Center. We strongly recommend waiting a few weeks before withdrawing 100% of your funds to ensure you have a buffer for potential disputes or refunds.
Negative Balance Policy
- If your balance falls below -$50 and -$500 for more than 7 days, your account will be suspended.
- If your balance falls below -$500 for more than 72 hours, your account will be suspended.
- You can restore access by topping up your balance through the creator dashboard.
- If your balance remains negative after the respective timeframes, Whop will attempt to recover the funds from your bank.
- If fund recovery fails, your account will be permanently banned from the platform.
Maintaining a positive balance ensures smooth payouts and uninterrupted access to your account.
6. Paying users
Whop facilitates transactions for the exchange of commercial goods or services, or tips for goods or services.
- Any payment you make or receive shall be solely exchanged for bona fide commercial goods or services.
- You may not use Whop to transfer money to another user for personal, family, or household purposes (e.g., gifts, reimbursements, loans), nor for any transaction that could be deemed peer-to-peer money transmission.
- You must accurately specify the purpose of each payment by selecting an option from the provided drop-down list.
- Whop is not a bank – we do not hold or transmit funds. All transactions are processed through third-party providers (e.g., Stripe) in accordance with their terms.
- You may not use Whop for illegal activities, personal fund transfers, money laundering, or any purpose that would require Whop to function as a financial institution.
- You are responsible for ensuring the legitimacy of all transactions.
- Any payment disputes are strictly between you and the other user. While Whop may assist payment processors in fraud investigations, we do not mediate disputes.
By following these guidelines, you help maintain a safe and secure environment for all users.
