The 1 question that predicts if a gym trial will close
Ran hundreds of 1-day gym trials before building a training system around this: the very first question you ask a trial visitor predicts whether they'll join more than anything you do during the workout itself.
Most reps ask "So, what brings you in today?" — too generic, gets a generic answer ("just wanted to check it out").
Instead ask: "What made you decide to try us out this week — instead of last month or next month?"
That question forces them to surface the actual trigger (an event, a health scare, a New Year's reset that's already fading, a partner nudging them). Once you have that trigger, you reference it during the workout and use it as the urgency for the close at the end — no discount needed, just their own timeline.
Built a full breakdown of this (case study, swipe file scripts, objection handling, and a closing framework) inside TrialClose Academy if anyone wants to go deeper. Happy to answer questions on trial conversion in the comments too.
