Yard props fail at the bed, not in the slicer
Most Halloween yard prints don't die at hour 11. They die in the first 20 minutes. You just don't notice until the brim is already a potato chip.
Large PLA pieces on a cold garage bed will lift at the corners. Gyroid infill and extra walls won't save a first layer that never stuck.
What actually works on FDM for outdoor props:
Wash the plate. Finger oil is enough to ruin a 400 mm tombstone.
60°C bed, glue stick, no cooling for the first 3 layers.
If layer 2 looks thinner than layer 1, cancel. Reprinting now is cheaper than reprinting at 2am.
Don't auto-orient. Yard props are designed to print standing or on a specific face so the layer lines hide from the street.
I built GraveyardSTL around that: files already oriented, notes for hobby printers, no monthly fee. If you want the pack, it's on the store. If your machine is the problem, that's a different product.
