Dinner was over. So why are you still in the kitchen?
The plate was empty at 7. By 10 you have had toast, a handful of nuts, then "just a bit" from the fridge.
That is not leftover hunger from dinner. That is an open kitchen, a low-protein plate, and a habit that starts when the TV goes on. Evening grazing is one of the most common ways a careful day quietly undoes itself.
Close the kitchen for 7 nights:
Put protein on the dinner plate first. Fish, chicken, eggs, yoghurt, or beans. Enough that you are not hunting food two hours later.
When the plate is done, lights off in the kitchen. Snacks off the counter. If you have to open a cupboard, you will notice.
If you want something later, wait 20 minutes and drink water. Most 9pm "hunger" is habit, not an empty stomach.
No food in the living room. If you eat after dinner, you sit at the table. That one rule cuts the mindless handfuls.
Write down what you ate after dinner, and how hungry you felt at 10pm. Compare night 1 to night 7.
Weight is often lost in the hours after the last planned meal, not in a harder workout.
If evenings still undo the day, you need a system, not another rule. The Hidden Calorie Burn Blueprint shows you how to build sustainable weight-management habits: everyday movement, meal structure, and a 30-day plan you can keep.
