šŸ„‹ Welcome to StuntSafe Academy — Your Training Starts Now

Welcome to Heian Kata Stunt Safety Mastery.

You've made a serious decision — to train your body and your stunt group with the precision of traditional martial arts. This isn't just another cheerleading course. This is a safety-first system built on centuries of kata wisdom.

What to Expect

  • 5 chapters, 20 lessons — from foundational stances to full basket tosses

  • Sequential progression — each lesson unlocks after completing the previous one

  • A final assessment that earns you a completion certificate

Your First Assignment

Start Chapter 1, Lesson 1 today. Don't skip ahead. The stances you build in the first week are the foundation for every stunt you'll ever throw.

Ground Rules

  1. Never train stunts alone. Even solo kata practice should be filmed for self-review.

  2. If it hurts, stop. No technique is worth an injury.

  3. Ask questions here. There are no dumb questions in safety training.

Let's get to work. šŸ’Ŗ

Why Every Cheerleading Team Needs Kata-Based Safety Training

Most cheerleading injuries happen because of timing failures, not strength failures.

A base who is strong enough to hold a liberty can still drop a flyer if their timing is off by 0.2 seconds. A back spot who can deadlift 300 lbs is useless if they lose spatial awareness during a basket toss.

The Missing Piece: Precision Training

Traditional martial arts kata (specifically the Heian series) trains exactly the skills that prevent stunt injuries:

  • Stance stability under dynamic load

  • Breathing synchronization across a group

  • Spatial awareness in 360 degrees

  • Timing precision measured in fractions of a second

  • Controlled power transfer — not just brute strength
