VWAP Momentum RSI is an oscillator built from session VWAP, not from raw price.

Each bar, it computes session VWAP from typical price × volume, measures how far Open, High, Low, and Close sit away from that VWAP, then EMA-smooths those deviations and runs Wilder RSI on the result. The RSI you see is momentum of price versus VWAP, not a standard close-based RSI.

Around the 50 midline it draws four bands from RSI dispersion (standard deviation over the zone lookback):

Inner upper / inner lower — support and resistance for the oscillator
Outer upper / outer lower — overbought and oversold extremes
The inner-to-outer bands can be filled so stretch and mean-reversion zones are visible at a glance.

Read it three ways: line, bar, or candle (RSI OHLC). Optional coloring shows:

Momentum when the oscillator crosses a full zone pair within a set number of bars (or a simpler inner-band rule if split coloring is off)
RSI paint when it is above inner upper and rising, or below inner lower and falling
Price-panel candles when RSI reaches the outer extremes
Use it to see whether price is expanding away from VWAP, holding a VWAP-relative range, or reversing from a stretched extreme.
