Almost every paint job that peels, flashes or shows roller marks a year later failed in preparation rather than product. Walls are washed where they need it, glossy surfaces are dulled so the new coat can grip, holes are filled and sanded flat, and anything bare gets primer. Then two full coats — because one coat over a colour change never lays down evenly, whatever the tin says.
