HR freshers don't get rejected for lack of experience

If you are an HR student or a recent graduate, you have probably been told the same lie: "You need 2 years of experience for an entry-level job."

That is not why you are getting ignored.

Recruiters reject fresher resumes in under 8 seconds because they cannot tell what job you want. Your resume says "motivated graduate seeking opportunities." Their ATS is searching for "HR Coordinator," "screening," "onboarding," and "HRIS."

Here is the fix I teach:

  1. Put the target role in the title line. Not a paragraph. A title.

  2. Rewrite campus work in recruiter language. "Helped with placements" becomes "screened 40 applications and shortlisted 8 using a scorecard."

  3. Stop spraying Easy Apply. Message HR managers at 50–500 person companies. Those teams actually need someone who can start Monday.

Experience is not the bottleneck. Clarity is.

If you want the full resume structure, interview scripts, and a 14-day application sprint, it is in Land Your First HR Job.
