Nobody prepares you for what comes after school. Here's what I've learned the hard way:
1. Your habits matter more than your degree.
The person who reads 30 minutes a day, exercises, and manages their money will outperform the person with a 4.0 GPA and no discipline. Every time.
2. Financial literacy isn't optional.
Understanding how money works — budgeting, saving, investing — isn't something "adults" just know. You have to learn it. Start now.
3. Your circle determines your ceiling.
You become the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Choose wisely.
4. Confidence comes from doing, not thinking.
You won't feel ready. Do it anyway. Apply for the job. Start the project. Have the conversation. Confidence is built through action.
5. Nobody is coming to save you.
Your life is 100% your responsibility. That's scary, but it's also the most powerful realization you can have.
I'm building Insights to be the resource I wish I had at 18 — real talk on finances, mindset, and building a life worth living.
