The 3 mistakes every gym beginner makes (and how to fix them today)
I've been training for years and coached dozens of beginners. The same 3 mistakes show up every single time:
1. No structure. You walk into the gym with no plan, do random exercises, leave confused. Fix: follow a simple push/pull/legs split. Even a basic 3-day program beats freestyling every time.
2. Eating like you're still in high school. You can't out-train a bad diet. You don't need to meal prep 47 containers — just hit your protein target (0.8g per lb of bodyweight) and eat mostly whole foods. That alone puts you ahead of 90% of people.
3. Chasing motivation instead of building discipline. Motivation is a feeling. Discipline is a system. Set a gym schedule, put it in your calendar like a meeting, and treat it as non-negotiable. After 3 weeks it becomes automatic.
If you're tired of guessing and want a real system — training programs, nutrition guidance, and a community that actually holds you accountable — Iron Circle is open.
