Why most postpartum fitness advice fails (and what actually works)

Most postpartum fitness content is written like the woman reading it doesn't have a newborn attached to her at 3am.

Here's what I've learned building a community around this:

1. "Bounce back" language is the enemy. Your body didn't break, it built a human. Programming should meet you where you are — not chase who you were pre-pregnancy.

2. Time, not intensity, is the real constraint. A postpartum mom doesn't need a 90-minute program. She needs 20 focused minutes she can actually finish before the baby wakes up.

3. Accountability beats motivation every time. Motivation disappears by week 2. A daily check-in with people in the same season of life is what keeps people showing up on the hard days.

4. Nutrition advice has to account for breastfeeding, sleep deprivation, and zero time to meal prep. Generic calorie deficits don't work here — sustainable, flexible guidance does.

Built Iron Circle around exactly this — real programming, daily accountability, and a community of women in the same stage of life. If any of this resonates, come say hi.
