The 3 mistakes every beginner makes in the gym (and what to do instead)

I've been training for years and I see the same 3 patterns destroy beginners before they even get started:

1. Program hopping

You do PPL for 2 weeks, switch to bro split, try Starting Strength, then give up. Pick ONE program and run it for 12 weeks minimum. The best program is the one you actually stick with.

2. Ego lifting

Nobody in the gym cares how much you bench. Drop the weight by 30%, nail your form, and you'll build more muscle in 3 months than most people do in a year.

3. Overcomplicating nutrition

You don't need to weigh your food to the gram or buy 14 supplements. Eat enough protein (~0.8g per lb bodyweight), eat mostly whole foods, and get enough sleep. That's 90% of the game.

The fitness industry profits from making this complicated. It's not. The hard part is showing up consistently — and that's what we focus on inside Iron Protocol.

Simple protocols. Real results. No BS.
