3 mistakes that prevent 90% of beginners from losing weight
After coaching dozens of people, I keep seeing the same patterns. Here are the 3 most common mistakes—and how to avoid them.
1. Too much cardio, not enough strength training
Cardio burns calories in the moment, but strength training increases your resting metabolism. Result: you burn more even at rest. Start with 3 strength sessions per week—cardio is just a bonus.
2. Cutting too many calories too fast
Going from 2500 to 1200 kcal overnight? Your body will resist and you’ll burn out within two weeks. Reduce by 300–400 kcal max. Patience pays off.
3. Ignoring sleep
Lack of sleep increases ghrelin (the hunger hormone) and decreases leptin (satiety). You can have the best program in the world—if you sleep 5 hours, you’ll stall.
The key isn’t motivation, it’s the system. That’s exactly what we build in IronMind Academy.
