Hunta FAQ: plans, prices, payment, approvals

Everything people ask before buying Hunta, in one place.

Does anything send without me?

No. Every application arrives in Discord as a card with the job, match reason and PDFs. Nothing goes out until you tap Approve.

Which jobs does it search?

17 job boards by default (22 supported) across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. One employer is never contacted twice within 30 days, and daily caps keep volume sane.

Can I try it before paying?

Why is the price in US dollars?

Whop bills in USD. The plans are set to the rand value; rand figures are approximate, at R16.31 per $1 (27 Sep 2026).

No card?

What happens after checkout?

You are sent to a short setup page. Your job seekers get a private intake link; they never need to join your Discord.

Can I pay yearly?

Yes. Annual prepay is 25% off: Solo $2,754/yr (about R45,000), Studio $5,517/yr (about R90,000). Email us to arrange it.

What does each plan include?

Solo $306/mo (about R4,999): 3 candidates, 100 sends a month, priority slots.

Studio $613/mo (about R9,999): 15 candidates, fair-use sends, white-label PDFs, LLM fallback chain.

Sovereign $920/mo (about R15,000): self-hosted Docker deployment, unlimited candidates and sends, signed offline licence, an onboarding day. If the licence lapses it goes read-only; your data is never locked or deleted.

The caps are the feature

Most job hunt tools encourage high volume, treating applications as a numbers game. Hunta operates differently. We build guardrails into the system, not bottlenecks, to prevent burnout and encourage focused effort.

Our approval gate, for instance, requires a human click before anything sends. This simple step prevents reactive submissions and ensures every application is deliberate. The 30-day cooldown on reapplying to the same role or employer serves a similar purpose, preventing over-eagerness and promoting strategic engagement.

The demo is the whole wheel, leashed

The hunta demo package runs the same code as our paid subscriptions. It is not a feature-restricted preview. You host it yourself, on your machine, using your own free-tier API key.

The demo operates under a leash, which means usage caps are enforced in the code: 25 drafts and 5 sends per rolling 30 days. This limit exists to allow full evaluation of hunta's mechanics for reading, scoring, drafting, and tracking without enabling high-volume use on the free tier. Your data remains local and private. Every send also requires a human approval click, just like the full version.

We put a human approval gate inside a job application robot, on purpose

Most job-hunt tools optimize the same thing: send more, faster, with AI-polished wording everywhere. We built the opposite trade on purpose and it is worth explaining why, because the reasoning matters even if you never touch our product.

A search has two very different halves. The boring eighty percent (reading listings, scoring fit against what a job description actually repeats, tailoring drafts, timing follow-ups, keeping a tracker honest) is language logistics, and it is fully automatable. The twenty percent that carries your name, your judgment, your voice in the room, is not, and the moment a tool sends that part unattended it stops being leverage and starts being liability.

So the machine we shipped, hunta, runs the first half on a schedule and hard-gates the second: every application sits behind an approval click, sends are spaced, daily drafts are capped, and a 30-day cooldown per employer is enforced in code, not policy. Burnout volume is not discouraged; it is physically unavailable. The caps run the same way in the free demo (25 drafts, 5 sends, 30 days) as in the paid tiers, which start at thirty dollars because support costs money.

The open questions I would genuinely like this forum's opinion on: what should an approval gate refuse by default? Which two columns of an application tracker would you never give up? If the answers get good, they ship.
