Everyone thinks jinns are just fire creatures from old stories. They're not.

My nani told me something when I was 12 that I never forgot. She said jinns don't haunt places — they haunt habits. The door you always leave open. The mirror you check before bed. The name you whisper when you're alone.

She said once a jinn learns your routine, it becomes part of it. And you'd never know. Because the scariest part isn't that they're watching you. It's that they've been standing right next to you this whole time, doing exactly what you do, one second behind.

I've been writing stories about this for years now. Tales rooted in South Asian folklore — jinns, bhoot, churails, and things our grandparents warned us about but never fully explained.

Every week, I publish a new story inside Jinnat. If you grew up hearing these kinds of stories and want more — the kind that make you check over your shoulder — this is your place.
