What do you like working on the most?
I've trained enough beginners to see the same patterns over and over. Here are the 3 things that stall progress before it even starts:
1. Program hopping. You don't need a new routine every week. You need ONE solid program and 12 weeks of consistency. The magic is in the reps you haven't done yet, not in finding the "perfect" split.
2. Ego lifting. Nobody in the gym cares how much you bench. Drop the weight, slow down the rep, feel the muscle work. You'll grow faster and stay injury-free.
3. Ignoring recovery. Training breaks muscle down. Sleep, food, and rest build it back up. If you're sleeping 5 hours and eating like garbage, no program will save you.
The fix? Keep it simple. Follow a proven program. Eat enough protein. Sleep 7+ hours. Track your lifts. That's it.
I'm building Hound Fitness to give beginners everything they need to actually stick with it — structured programs, coaching, and a community of people on the same journey.
