Most retail traders stare at candlestick charts and wonder why they keep getting stopped out at the worst possible moment.

Here's the reality: price action alone only shows you what happened. It doesn't show you who did it.

When you learn to read orderflow — the DOM, footprint charts, volume profiles — you start seeing the fingerprints of institutional activity. You see where the liquidity is stacked, where traders are trapped, and where the real moves are about to happen.

A quick example:

You see price break above resistance on a green candle. Looks bullish, right? But the footprint shows aggressive selling into that breakout — absorption. The volume profile shows no acceptance above. That's not a breakout, that's a trap.

Without orderflow, you buy the breakout. With orderflow, you fade it.

That's the difference between trading blind and trading with depth.
