The 3 biggest mistakes skinny teens make trying to gain muscle

I've seen hundreds of teens make the same mistakes when they start lifting. Here's what's actually holding you back:

1. You're not eating enough. Period.

You think you eat a lot. You don't. Track your food for one day and you'll realize you're eating maybe 1,800 calories when you need 2,500+. Your body literally can't build muscle without fuel.

2. You're doing a PPL split you found on TikTok before you can do 10 proper push-ups.

Full body 3x/week will build more muscle in your first year than any bro split. You need frequency, not "chest day." Your muscles recover faster at 15 than they will at 25 — take advantage of that.

3. You skip sleep and expect gains.

Growth hormone peaks while you sleep. You're a teenager — your body is literally designed to grow right now. But not on 5 hours of sleep and energy drinks. 8-9 hours minimum. Non-negotiable.

Fix these three things and you'll see more progress in 3 months than most guys see in a year.

I built JuniorPhysique to give teens a real, science-backed path to building muscle — no BS, no expensive programs, just what actually works. It's free to join.

Welcome to JuniorPhysique 💪

Hey, welcome in.

You're here because you want to stop being the skinny kid. Good — that's the first step.

Here's how to get the most out of this:

1. Check the guides — I'll be posting training programs, nutrition breakdowns, and recovery tips built specifically for teens. No cookie-cutter programs from some 30-year-old bodybuilder. This is for YOUR body at YOUR age.

2. Ask questions in chat — No such thing as a dumb question here. Whether it's "how do I eat more" or "what do I do on rest days," just ask.

3. Stay consistent — Results don't come in a week. They come in months. Show up every day and you'll look back in 6 months wondering why you didn't start sooner.

Let's get to work.
