Your Saturday dessert is undoing 5 days of training
Most gym people don't fail Monday–Friday. They fail 8pm Friday to Sunday brunch.
You hit protein. You hit steps. Then you "deserve" the bakery run, the pints, the late pizza. That's not lack of discipline. That's an unplanned surplus on the two days you don't track.
Three things that actually work if you refuse to quit sweets:
Keep dessert. Cut the volume around it. A real chocolate thing after a high-volume dinner still fits. A dessert on an empty stomach plus snacks does not.
Decide Friday dessert on Thursday. If it's not written, the bakery decides.
Don't "save calories" all day Saturday. That just makes the binge louder.
I wrote KeepDessert for gym-goers who train hard and still have a sweet tooth. Not another cut that bans sugar.
