The 5 most undervalued vintage sneakers right now
Everyone's chasing Travis Scott collabs and paying $800 for shoes that sat on shelves two years ago. Meanwhile, actual gems are sitting at $100-200 if you know where to look.
1. Nike Air Max 1 OG (any pre-2015 release) — The shoe that started visible Air. Early retros have way more character than the anniversary pairs.
2. New Balance 1300JP — Made in Japan every 5 years. The 2010 and 2015 pairs are hovering around $150-200. These will be $400+ in a few years.
3. Air Jordan 4 "Military Blue" (2006) — Better materials and a slimmer toebox than the 2024 retro. DS pairs under $200.
4. ASICS Gel-Lyte III OG (2010-era) — Split tongue perfection. The earlier retros used softer suede.
5. Nike Dunk Low "Viotech" (2001) — Before Dunks became a hype machine. One of the most creative sneakers ever made.
The move is always the same: buy what people sleep on, hold what has history. Hype fades. Craft doesn't.
I built Kick Archives for people who think like this. If you collect vintage, not just hype — you know where to find us.
