🎉 Welcome to Pricing Your First Freelance Package!

Welcome to LeadRemote Academy — you just made the best investment in your freelance career.

Here's How to Get Started

1. Start the Course

Head to the Course Library and begin with Module 1: The Pricing Mindset Shift. The modules are sequential — each one builds on the last, so go in order.

2. Take Action on Every Lesson

Each lesson ends with a key takeaway. Don't just read — apply it to your own freelance business before moving to the next lesson.

3. Join the Community Chat

Got questions? Stuck on pricing a specific project? Drop into the Community Chat and get help from fellow freelancers and me personally.

4. Build Your Pricing Formula

By the end of Module 4, you'll have a personal pricing formula you can use for every project. This alone is worth 10x your investment.

5. Land Your First Client at the Right Price

Module 5 walks you through proposals, objections, and closing. By the time you finish, you'll have everything you need to confidently quote and close your first properly-priced package.

The Goal

Stop undercharging. Stop second-guessing. Build a freelance package that pays what you're worth — and know exactly how to sell it.

Let's get to work. 💪

The #1 Reason Freelancers Stay Broke (And How to Fix It)

Most freelancers don't have a skills problem. They have a pricing problem.

Here's what I see constantly:

  • Talented designers charging $500 for projects that generate $50,000 in revenue for their clients

  • Developers billing $30/hour when agencies charge $150/hour for the same work

  • Copywriters spending 20 hours on a project they quoted for 5

The result? Burnout, resentment, and a freelance career that feels like a worse version of a 9-to-5.

The Fix Is Simpler Than You Think

It comes down to three shifts:

1. Stop Pricing by Time, Start Pricing by Value

Your client doesn't care how many hours you work. They care about the outcome. A landing page that converts at 5% is worth the same whether it took you 4 hours or 40.

2. Know Your Floor

Calculate your minimum viable rate — the absolute lowest you can charge and still cover your expenses, taxes, and a reasonable salary. Then never go below it. Ever.

3. Use a Formula, Not Your Gut

Package Price = (Base Cost + Value Premium) × Complexity × Urgency

When you have a formula, you stop guessing and start quoting with confidence.

Want the Full System?

I built a complete course that walks you through all five steps — from fixing your pricing mindset to closing your first properly-priced client.

Pricing Your First Freelance Package covers:

  • Calculating your minimum viable rate

  • Using pricing psychology and anchoring

  • Building your personal pricing formula

  • Writing proposals that convert

  • Handling objections and closing deals

Stop leaving money on the table. Your skills deserve real compensation.

The "know your floor" point is underrated because most people calculate it wrong — they forget to include taxes and non-billable time in the floor. If you only account for expenses + salary, you'll still end up underwater when a chunk of every invoice goes to self-employment tax and you're not billing 40 hours a week (admin, marketing, and gaps between projects eat into that fast). Worth padding the floor for both before locking in a number.
