Living Design Systems
Build a design system once. Let AI help maintain it.
Living Design Systems is a live, architect-level program structured as an ongoing curriculum for designers and product builders focused on system thinking, architecture, and long-term maintainability. The program examines design systems as evolving infrastructures rather than static UI libraries.
The curriculum covers design system auditing, token architecture, component modeling, governance through documentation, and AI-assisted maintenance. Core topics are explored through weekly Architecture Sessions, where structural decisions around tokens, components, and system rules are defined; AI Maintenance Labs, focused on automation, variant generation, and consistency preservation; and Live System Reviews, where real-world systems are analyzed, refactored, and prepared for scalable evolution.
The program includes the Living Design Systems eBook, documenting the full theoretical framework, principles, and applied methodologies. Emphasis is placed on architecture over tooling, enabling participants to design systems that can evolve with AI support over time.
