Why I stopped charging per-job for junk removal on renovation projects
Started Load & Go doing one-off junk hauls — old couches, construction debris, the usual. But the customers who kept coming back every single week were homeowners mid-renovation. Kitchen demo one week, bathroom tear-out the next, then closet cleanouts.
Charging them per-job every time was annoying for both sides. They had to text, wait for a quote, pay again. So I flipped it: a flat monthly membership with priority 24-48hr scheduling and discounted per-pickup rates baked in.
Result — way less back-and-forth, and they book more often because the friction is gone. If you're running a home service business with customers who need you more than once, stop treating every visit like a cold sale. Package the relationship, not the job.
