Open any rental app and the default is a city-wide grid. That is not how people rent. They pick a neighborhood first — sometimes a specific walk to a train — and then they look at whatever is sitting inside that radius.

If your unit is not in that radius view, it does not exist. Portals still sell you impressions across a metro. Locara is the other job: put the listing on the map the renter already opened, on the block they already chose.

I built it because landlords I know were paying for leads from people who wanted a different borough. Neighborhood placement is the whole product. Featured pins are for the managers who run more than one door.
