If the first screen says “quality service,” shows a big photo, and hides the next step, the homeowner still has to work out whether to call you.
Use this test:
Cover everything below the first phone screen.
Read only what is left.
Ask someone who does not work for you what service you offer, where you work, and what they should do now.
If they cannot answer all three, change the order before adding more pages.
A better first screen has the exact service, service area, a clear call or request option, and proof that belongs to the trade.
This does not guarantee a top Google spot. Google also considers relevance, distance, and prominence. But you control whether your site makes the service clear once someone lands there.
