Why most clippers get paid $0 (and how to fix it)

Ran the numbers on a few hundred clip submissions across recent campaigns. The pattern is brutal but simple to fix:


The #1 killer: the first 2 seconds. Clips that open on a static frame, a slow zoom, or a mid-sentence cut get skipped before the algorithm even registers a watch. Clips that open on a punchline, a shocking claim, or a visual jump cut get 3-5x the average view count on identical source footage.


The #2 killer: posting once and moving on. The clippers actually earning consistently post the same source video cut 4-6 different ways (different hook, different caption, different platform) instead of one clip and done. More at-bats, same source material, way more upside.


The #3 killer: ignoring the brief. Campaigns reject clips for missing required hashtags/captions more than for bad editing. Read the brief twice before you touch the timeline.
