The 5-minute study planning trick that changed my grades
Most high schoolers don't fail because they're not smart enough. They fail because they never sit down and plan what to study, when to study it, and how to know when they're done.
Here's what I started doing โ takes 5 minutes on Sunday night:
1. Brain dump your week. Write down every test, assignment, and project due in the next 7 days. All of it, out of your head and onto paper.
2. Block your subjects. Don't just say "study for bio." Say "Tuesday 4-5pm: review chapter 12 notes, redo practice problems 1-15."
3. Put the hard stuff first. Whatever you're dreading most? That's Monday. Get it done while your willpower is fresh.
4. Build in buffer days. Leave Thursday or Friday lighter. Something will always take longer than you think.
5. Track what you actually did. At the end of the week, check off what you completed. This is how you build the habit โ you start seeing proof that planning works.
I built a set of free templates that make this whole process automatic. No guesswork โ just fill in the blanks and follow the plan.
