The 3 mistakes every beginner trader makes (and how to avoid them)
I've been trading for years and I see the same three mistakes killing beginners over and over.
1. Trading without a plan. You open a chart, see a candle move, and you buy. No stop loss, no target, no thesis. That's not trading — that's gambling. Before you enter ANY trade, know your entry, your stop, and your target. Write it down.
2. Risking too much per trade. If you're putting 10-20% of your account on a single trade, one bad day wipes out weeks of progress. The rule is simple: never risk more than 1-2% of your account on a single position. This is how you survive long enough to actually get good.
3. Chasing the "perfect" indicator. RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands — none of them are magic. The best traders I know use simple price action and volume. Master reading a chart before you add any indicator to it.
Trading isn't about finding a secret formula. It's about building a process, managing risk, and staying disciplined when everyone else is panicking.
