[Free Template] the 1-Page Digital Marketing Audit Checklist

The 1-Page Digital Marketing Audit Checklist

Print this, copy it into a doc, or keep it next to your analytics. Run it on one offer, one site, and one primary channel. Score each line Yes / Partial / No. Anything that is not a clean Yes is your next week of work.

How to use it (30–45 minutes):

  1. Pick one product or service you actually sell.

  2. Open your website, Google Analytics (or equivalent), ad account, email tool, and social profiles.

  3. Work top to bottom. Do not skip a section because it feels “fine.”

  4. Circle the 3 weakest Nos. Those become this week’s projects.

---

1. Offer and positioning (5 min)

  • [ ] I can state the offer in one sentence: who it is for, the outcome, and the time frame.

  • [ ] The headline on the page matches that sentence. No clever-but-vague language.

  • [ ] Proof is visible above the fold (result, number, testimonial, or credential).

  • [ ] Price, what is included, and what happens after purchase are obvious without hunting.

  • [ ] There is one primary call to action. Secondary links do not compete with it.

If you fail this section: rewrite the headline and CTA before you spend another dollar on ads.

2. Website and conversion path (8 min)

  • [ ] Page loads fast on mobile. If it feels slow, it is slow.

  • [ ] Forms ask only for what you need (name + email is enough for a lead magnet).

  • [ ] Thank-you / confirmation page exists and tells the buyer the next step.

  • [ ] Checkout or enrollment is 3 steps or fewer. Extra fields are justified.

  • [ ] Tracking is on: page views, checkout starts, purchases (or enrollments).

  • [ ] 404s, broken buttons, and expired promo banners are gone.

If you fail this section: fix the path. Traffic on a leaky page is expensive practice.

3. Traffic sources (7 min)

  • [ ] I know the top 3 sources of visits in the last 30 days.

  • [ ] Organic search: 5–10 pages that could rank for a real query (not just the homepage).

  • [ ] Paid: one campaign with a named audience, offer, and landing page. Not “boost post.”

  • [ ] Email / SMS: a list you own, not only a rented social following.

  • [ ] Referral / partners: at least one live path that is not you posting into the void.

  • [ ] UTM or equivalent tagging so you can tell paid from organic next month.

If you fail this section: pick one source and make it boringly consistent for 30 days.

4. Content and SEO hygiene (7 min)

  • [ ] Title tags and H1s describe the page, not the brand slogan.

  • [ ] One primary keyword / topic per money page.

  • [ ] Internal links from high-traffic pages to the offer page.

  • [ ] Images have real file names and alt text where it matters.

  • [ ] A simple content calendar exists: 1 useful piece per week, published on time.

  • [ ] Old posts that rank are updated, not abandoned.

If you fail this section: update your best existing page before you write a new one.

5. Email and nurture (5 min)

  • [ ] Welcome sequence: 3–5 emails that teach, prove, and invite (not 1 coupon blast).

  • [ ] List is segmented at least by “buyer vs not yet.”

  • [ ] Unsubscribe and frequency are respected. Deliverability is not a mystery.

  • [ ] Every email has one job and one link that matters.

  • [ ] You can name last week’s open/click range. If you cannot, you are guessing.

If you fail this section: write the welcome sequence this weekend. It compounds.

6. Paid media (if you spend) (5 min)

  • [ ] Daily or weekly cap you can afford to lose while you learn.

  • [ ] Creative matches the landing page promise.

  • [ ] You track cost per lead and cost per sale, not vanity CTR alone.

  • [ ] Dead ads are paused. Winners get more budget in small steps.

  • [ ] Frequency is watched so the same people are not seeing the same ad 20 times.

If you fail this section: pause spend until the offer page and tracking are a Yes.

7. Measurement and weekly rhythm (5 min)

  • [ ] One dashboard: traffic, leads, sales, refunds/churn if relevant.

  • [ ] A weekly 20-minute review on the calendar. Same day every week.

  • [ ] You write down: what we tried, what moved, what we kill, what we double.

  • [ ] Goals are numbers (leads, enrollments, revenue), not “get more engagement.”

Scoring: Yes = 2, Partial = 1, No = 0. Max ~80 depending on how you count lines. Under 50 means the business is leaking. Do not launch a new channel until the leaks are patched.

---

This week’s 3 moves

Write them here so they are not optional:

  1. ________________________________

  2. ________________________________

  3. ________________________________

Run the checklist again in 14 days. Compare scores. That is the whole game: fewer Nos, more paid enrollments.

Free Download: A 5-Step Funnel Setup Audit

A 5-Step Funnel Setup Audit

Use this checklist if you sell online and your funnel feels messy, slow, or leaky. Work through each step in order. Write the answers down. Fix one leak before you move to the next.

Step 1: Define one offer and one buyer

  • Write one sentence: who this is for, what they get, and the outcome.

  • Cut extra products, bonuses, and “maybe later” upsells from the first visit.

  • Confirm the price and the next action (buy, book, or join) are on the same page.

  • Pass test: a stranger can say who it is for and what happens after they pay.

Step 2: Audit the first impression (ad, post, or search)

  • Match the promise in the ad or post to the headline on the landing page.

  • Remove jargon. Use the buyer’s words for the problem.

  • One primary CTA. Secondary links go below the fold or after the main action.

  • Pass test: the visitor does not have to guess what to do next.

Step 3: Walk the landing page like a first-time buyer

  • Headline states the outcome. Subhead states who it is for.

  • Proof sits near the CTA (results, testimonials, numbers, screenshots).

  • Form or checkout asks only what you need to deliver.

  • Mobile: buttons are thumb-friendly, load under 3 seconds, no horizontal scroll.

  • Pass test: you can complete checkout on your phone in under 2 minutes.

Step 4: Map what happens after they pay

  • Instant confirmation: receipt, access link, and what to do in the first 10 minutes.

  • Day-0 message: welcome, how to start, where to ask questions.

  • Day-2 and day-7 nudges: first win, then the next lesson or task.

  • If they stall, one clear “reply / comment / book” path, not five channels.

  • Pass test: a new buyer knows the first action without emailing you.

Step 5: Measure four numbers, then fix the weakest

Track for 7 days:

  1. Click to landing page

  2. Landing page to checkout start

  3. Checkout start to paid

  4. Paid to first completed action (lesson, download, or call)

Fix the biggest drop first. Do not add ads until the page and onboarding convert.

Quick scorecard

Rate 1–5:

  • Offer clarity

  • Message match

  • Page speed and mobile

  • Post-purchase onboarding

  • Tracking

Anything scored 1–2 is this week’s project.

Save this post. Run the audit on your current funnel, then comment which step scored lowest and we will help you tighten it.
