How much should you invest into Amazon FBA?

Gurus say you can start with as little as $200... However, that is completely wrong! Please do not invest in this community if you do not have at least $1,000-1,500 to invest. Think of this business as the phrase "You have to spend money to make money". If you have more to invest you will see more of a return on your investment (ROI).

Is Amazon a get rich quick scheme?

No it is not. Coming from a 6 figure seller himself I know it takes a lot of time and effort to successfully run an Amazon FBA businesses. I'm going to be completely honest with you. If your a beginner or intermediate seller you won't be making any money in the first 6 months because you want to compound your money so you have a larger amount of buying power to spend on more products.

Why is Amazon holding my payments?

When you first start out selling. Amazon has a thing called "Account level reserve." This is installed by Amazon to insure you are a trustworthy seller. They hold these funds because of potential chargebacks, returns, refunds, or claims after the customers receives the product.

Do I need to establish a business when first starting out selling on Amazon?

No you do not. Amazon gives you the option to sell as a sole proprietorship when first starting out but incorporate your business as soon as you start making sustainable amounts of money from Amazon.

How much money does it cost to get started on Amazon?

Technically, Amazon allows you to get started for free! Instead of paying $39.99 for a professional seller account you can pay $0.99 per unit you sell on Amazon but if you sell over 40 units you want to convert the account into a Pro Account. Then, you have to pay for important softwares like Keepa, SellerAmp, Inventory Lab which is around $100 / month. However, you're able to get your first two weeks or first month free on some of these applications. Next, you need supplies like boxes, tape, polybags, and Dymo Printer. Which lets say is another $300. Last, if you incorporate your business starting out you have Business License fees as well as Sales Tax Permit fees which is anywhere between $300-400 depending on your state. So ultimately, to be safe to get started it takes around $500-700 if you're not planning on incorporating your business it will be less. Then you still need money to invest in your first couple of products!
