New Orleans might be one of the most interesting sleeper teams in the NFC.

Shough regresses, the offense stays near the bottom of the league, and New Orleans lands right back around six wins.

Carolina isn’t rebuilding anymore.

They went from 2 wins in 2023 → 5 wins in 2024 → 8 wins and an NFC South title in 2025.

Now comes the harder part:

Prove it wasn’t a one-year run.

🐆 Bryce Young is coming off career highs in passing yards, touchdowns and passer rating.

⭐ Tetairoa McMillan just put up 1,014 yards + 7 TD as a rookie and won Offensive Rookie of the Year.

💪 Devin Lloyd and Jaelan Phillips were added to a defense that made a massive jump last season.

🧱 Carolina invested heavily in protecting Bryce and added more offensive-line depth.

⚠️ But injuries to Nic Scourton, Chris Brazzell II, Ikem Ekwonu and Taylor Moton are already testing that depth.

The biggest question is still Bryce.

He has improved.

He has a true WR1.

He has continuity with Dave Canales.

Now Year 4 is about proving he can take Carolina from a good story to a legitimate contender.

Minnesota went 9-8 last season, missed the playoffs, and still finished the year on a 5-GAME WINNING STREAK.

Now the biggest change comes at quarterback.

⚡ KYLER MURRAY IS QB1.

Kevin O’Connell is betting that he can unlock Murray and bring stability back to an offense that dealt with quarterback chaos, 21 interceptions and 60 sacks allowed last season.

And look at the weapons waiting for him:

Jefferson still cleared 1,000 receiving yards for the sixth straight season despite everything that went wrong around him.

Give him competent quarterback play and this passing attack could look completely different.

The offensive line also has a legitimate bounce-back path after using 26 different combinations last season. A healthy Christian Darrisaw alongside Brian O’Neill gives Minnesota two legitimate anchors up front.

Defensively, Brian Flores remains the biggest reason I refuse to count this team out.

Minnesota produced 49 sacks, Dallas Turner is coming off an 8-sack season, and Flores has consistently built one of the league’s toughest defenses.

But there are questions.

Harrison Smith is gone.

Jonathan Greenard is gone.

Jonathan Allen is gone.

Javon Hargrave is gone.

The Vikings are asking a younger defensive core to grow up quickly.
