🔥 32 TEAMS IN 32 DAYS — DAY 27: NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 🔥
New Orleans might be one of the most interesting sleeper teams in the NFC.
The final record says 6-11.
The second half of the season says something completely different.
The Saints started 1-7.
Then Tyler Shough took over.
From there?
⚜️ 5-4 with Shough starting
⚜️ 4-1 over the final 5 games
⚜️ Chris Olave exploded for 1,163 yards + 9 TD
⚜️ The defense became one of the best units in football down the stretch
⚜️ New Orleans enters 2026 with one of the easiest schedules in the NFL
And now they’ve added even more.
🔥 Travis Etienne Jr.
🔥 Jordyn Tyson
🔥 Noah Fant
🔥 David Edwards
🔥 Kaden Elliss
🔥 Tyree Wilson
The biggest question is obvious:
Was Tyler Shough’s late-season breakout real?
If it was, New Orleans may have already solved the hardest part of the rebuild.
If it wasn’t, they’re right back searching for answers.
📊 MATTY’S PROJECTION: 8-9
🏁 PROJECTED FINISH: 4TH NFC SOUTH
💰 LEAN: OVER 7.5 -125
🏆 NFC SOUTH: +260
And don’t let “4th” fool you.
I think this division is incredibly tight.
There is a realistic path where all four NFC South teams are still alive in December.
The Saints have a real pass rush, a legitimate WR1, more weapons around Shough, and a defense that played extremely well late last year.
The ceiling?
NFC SOUTH CHAMPS.
The floor?
Shough regresses, the offense stays near the bottom of the league, and New Orleans lands right back around six wins.
THEY FOUND THEIR QUARTERBACK.
NOW THEY HAVE TO TURN MOMENTUM INTO A SEASON.
