Your SaaS shipped. Your content still isn't a pipeline.
Most B2B SaaS founders I talk to already have a product. They don't have a content engine. They have a blog, a few LinkedIn posts, and a hope that "SEO" shows up later.
Here's the actual gap:
Search and AI answers don't care that you shipped. They care whether you own the entity, the comparison, and the job-to-be-done page a buyer types at 11pm.
The first five pages that create pipeline are almost never "thought leadership":
Category + product (what you are, in the buyer's words)
Alternative / vs (who they already use)
Integration (the tool they won't leave)
Use-case (the job that hurts this quarter)
Implementation (what the first 14 days look like)
GEO is the same list, written so an answer engine can cite you without guessing. If ChatGPT or Google's AI overview can't name you, you don't exist in the new funnel.
Vanity traffic is a feature of a missing engine. A real engine is a cadence, a page map, and a distribution queue — not another Notion doc.
If your product is live and content still isn't creating conversations, start by scoring the engine, not by posting more.
