The 3 metrics most Whop creators ignore (and it's costing them)
Most creators obsess over gross revenue and member count. Those are lagging indicators — by the time they move, the damage (or the win) already happened.
Here are 3 leading indicators worth tracking weekly:
1. Churn velocity — not just "how many canceled" but how fast cancellations are accelerating month over month. A slow creep is your early warning system, way before total members drops.
2. Renewal price vs. initial price gap — if your renewal price is a big jump from your intro offer, check your cancellation timing. Spikes right at renewal usually mean sticker shock, not lost interest.
3. Time-to-first-value — how long between a member joining and their first meaningful action (first post, first login, first completed lesson). Communities with fast time-to-value retain dramatically better.
I'm building Metriq AI specifically to surface these numbers automatically instead of making creators dig through spreadsheets — but even without a tool, tracking these three manually will tell you more than your dashboard's homepage ever will.
