The 3-second rule that stops anxiety spirals
Most people try to "think their way out" of anxiety. That's the worst thing you can do.
Here's what actually works — it's called the 3-Second Ground:
Touch something physical — your desk, your leg, the wall. Focus on the texture for 3 seconds.
Name what you feel out loud: "I'm anxious right now." Don't fight it. Label it.
Take one slow breath — in for 4, out for 6. Just one.
This works because anxiety lives in your head. The moment you bring your attention to your body and name the emotion, you break the loop.
This is one of dozens of professional psychology strategies I break down inside MindShift — video content covering anxiety, phobias, self-doubt, and building real confidence.
If you're tired of generic "just think positive" advice, this is different.
