The one habit that separates funded traders from blown accounts
I got funded trading full-time, and if I'm honest, the strategy mattered less than I expected. What actually separated me from the version of me that blew four accounts before that was one habit: I stopped taking a trade I couldn't explain in one sentence before entering it.
Not "the chart looks good." Not "I have a feeling." One sentence, written down, before the entry: "Price rejected this level twice on high volume and I'm playing the third test." If I couldn't write that sentence, I didn't take the trade.
It sounds too simple to matter. It's the whole game. Most blown accounts aren't a strategy problem, they're a discipline problem wearing a strategy costume. You already know your setup. What you don't have yet is a rule that stops you from trading when you don't actually have one.
Try it for a week: no entry without the sentence. You'll cut your trade count in half and probably improve your win rate doing it.
I write about this stuff and post my real setups over at The Trading Blueprint if you want to see the framework in practice.
