3 thumbnail mistakes killing your MLBB video CTR
I've edited thumbnails for dozens of MLBB YouTubers. Here are the 3 biggest mistakes I see killing click-through rates:
1. Too much text on the thumbnail
Your thumbnail isn't a title card. One word max โ maybe two. Let the image tell the story. A close-up of Ling mid-ult with "BROKEN" hits harder than "OP LING BUILD ONE SHOT ENEMY TEAM."
2. No contrast against YouTube's white background
If your thumbnail is bright and washed out, it blends into the page. Use dark backgrounds, bold outlines, and saturated colors. Make heroes POP off the screen.
3. Generic gameplay screenshots
Everyone's using the same in-game screenshot angles. Instead, crop into the hero, add depth with blur, throw in some energy effects. Make it look like a movie poster, not a screen recording.
The MLBB thumbnail game is wide open โ most creators aren't putting in effort here. That's your advantage.
