The 3 AI income methods that actually work right now (and the ones that don't)

Spent the last few months testing AI-powered income methods so I don't have to guess anymore. Here's the honest breakdown:

What's actually working:

  1. Faceless content automation — Pick one niche, use AI for scripting + voiceover, batch 10-15 videos in a weekend. The money isn't in going viral, it's in consistency. Accounts posting daily for 60+ days are the ones seeing ad revenue and brand deals kick in.

  1. AI-assisted freelancing — Not "AI replaces you" — AI makes you 3-5x faster at things clients already pay for (copywriting, design, video editing, research). You charge the same rate, deliver in a fraction of the time, take on more clients.

  1. Micro-automation services — Small businesses will pay $200-500/mo for someone to set up simple AI workflows (auto-replying to leads, summarizing reviews, drafting content). Low competition because most people think this requires coding. It doesn't.

What's NOT working (save your money):

  • "AI writes your whole book/course in a day" — the output is generic and it shows. Buyers can tell.

  • Fully automated dropshipping stores with AI product descriptions — margins are dead, ad costs eat everything.

  • Reselling ChatGPT wrapper apps — the market's saturated and OpenAI keeps changing the rules underneath you.

The pattern with everything that works: AI removes the slowest part of a process a human was already willing to pay for. It doesn't remove the need for a real offer.

Happy to go deeper on any of these three if people want specifics on tools/workflow.
