The 3 accounts every 25-year-old needs (that nobody talks about)

Most financial advice for young professionals is "save more, spend less." That's not wrong, but it's incomplete.

After working with dozens of young professionals on their financial plans, I've found that the ones who actually build wealth early all have the same 3 accounts working for them:

1. A Roth IRA (or equivalent tax-advantaged account)

Your tax bracket will likely never be this low again. Every dollar you put in now grows tax-FREE. At 25, even $200/month turns into $500K+ by retirement.

2. A properly structured life insurance policy

Not the term policy your job gives you. A cash-value policy that doubles as a savings vehicle and death benefit. Most 25-year-olds can lock in incredibly low premiums that stay level for life.

3. An emergency fund in a high-yield savings account

Not your regular checking account. A separate account earning 4-5% APY that you don't touch unless it's a real emergency. 3-6 months of expenses minimum.

The order matters too — emergency fund first, then insurance, then investing. You protect the foundation before you build the house.

I break down exactly how to set up each one inside my free Financial Foundations community. No sales pitch, just education.
