Why I stopped buying flowers for my wife after having our first kid
Flowers die in a week. Chocolates get eaten in a night. Neither one says "I see everything you're doing right now."
After our first was born, I realised most "gifts for mum" are actually gifts for the version of her that existed before the baby. She doesn't need a spa day she can't take. She needs something small, beautiful, and hers — for five minutes, at 2am, when nobody else is asking her for anything.
That's the whole idea behind what I've built: a gift box that pairs a proper skincare piece with a small jewelry item and a signature scent — not baby-themed, not "new mum" branded on the box. Just something nice, for her, full stop. Works just as well for a mum who's been at this for 20 years as it does for week two.
If you're a dad (or partner) staring down a gift occasion with no idea what to get — that's who I built this for. Happy to answer questions on sourcing or packaging if anyone's curious, I did a lot of trial and error getting this right.
