Why indie devs are wasting 40% of their time on DevOps

I've been building cloud apps for years. The dirty secret? Most solo developers spend nearly half their time on infrastructure instead of building features.

Setting up Docker configs. Debugging CI/CD pipelines. Wrestling with Terraform. Figuring out IAM permissions at 2 AM.

None of that is why you became a developer.

That's exactly why I built NEXUS AI — you describe your app in a prompt, and it generates a production-ready container, deploys it to AWS/GCP/Azure, and gives you logs, rollbacks, and observability out of the box.

No YAML. No Dockerfiles. No DevOps team.

If you're an indie dev or solopreneur shipping products, this is for builders who'd rather spend their time on features than fighting infrastructure.

Check out NEXUS AI and get your first deployment up in under 5 minutes.

I built a tool that deploys cloud apps from a single AI prompt — here's how it works

Most developers spend hours (or days) setting up infrastructure before they can even ship a feature. Docker configs, CI/CD pipelines, cloud provider dashboards, SSL certs — the list goes on.

I've been building NEXUS AI to eliminate all of that.

The idea is simple: You describe what you want your app to do in plain language. NEXUS AI handles the rest — provisioning, deployment, scaling. Your app is live in ~60 seconds.

Here's what the workflow actually looks like:

  1. Write a prompt describing your app (e.g. "A Next.js dashboard that tracks crypto prices with a dark theme")

  2. NEXUS AI generates the app, configures the infrastructure, and deploys it

  3. You get a live URL. Done.

Who this is for:

  • Solo devs who want to ship faster without touching AWS/GCP consoles

  • Non-technical founders who have an idea but no DevOps knowledge

  • Agencies that need to spin up client projects quickly

Who this is NOT for:

  • Teams that already have a mature infrastructure setup and are happy with it

  • People building apps that require extremely custom server configurations

I'm giving access for free right now while I'm building in public. If you're tired of spending more time on deployment than on your actual product, come check it out.
