A coloring sheet is not the lesson. It is the quiet 8 minutes after the story, when kids actually remember what they heard.

Here is the simple order we built this baptism book around:

1. Tell the story in 2 minutes. John at the river. Jesus walks up. Heaven opens. Keep it spoken, not a lecture.

2. Ask one question: “What did God say about Jesus?” Wait. Let them answer.

3. Hand out the pages. Play the memory verse while they color. Matthew 3:17 is short enough for a 5-year-old.

4. Send one page home. Parents will put it on the fridge. That is the review.

If you lead kids church, print more copies than you think you need. Someone always brings a cousin.
