Discord is a terrible product for paying trading clients
You sold someone a trading product. They paid. Then you dropped them in a Discord with 400 unread channels, three bots, and a #general that hasn't been useful since 2023.
That's not onboarding. That's hiding.
Paying clients need three things and nothing else:
A place to log in and see the tool.
A way to ask you a question without it getting buried.
A feed that only posts when you actually shipped something.
Everything else — roles, welcome bots, 14 announcement channels — is theater. It makes you feel like you have a product. It does not make them feel like they bought one.
If your retention is ugly, look at what happens in the first five minutes after checkout. If the first screen is a Discord invite, you already lost the people who were going to take this seriously.
